attend a movie or cheer on the Captains to victory! There are so many
opportunities for you to take advantage of during the weekend and
we hope you will join us for what is sure to be a weekend you will remember

Registration for the 2011 Family Weekend & Homecoming will open on September 1, 2011 at 8 a.m.
Please follow link below to register for the weekend. A one time $25 registration fee is applied per family. If you have questions about registration please email us at cnuevents@cnu.edu or call our office at 757-594-8061. Registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on October 11, 2011. You will be able to register in person on Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Trible Library Rotunda.
All Family Weekend sales are final and non-refundable.
October 15th is your LAST day to get a Discovery Pass! Make sure to register for your Family Weekend Discovery Pass. Registration for the Discovery Pass can be done through the above Family Weekend Registration link. The Discovery Pass does not include the $25 per family registration fee and is in addition to the cost of the Discovery Pass. A $250 gift will get your family a Discovery Pass and the following benefits during Family Weekend:
- Express check-in for Family Weekend
- An exclusive Welcome Reception with President and Mrs.Trible
- Reserved game-day parking
- Reserved VIP seating at shows (including the Family Weekend Musical Showcase)

Come out for a great afternoon of NCAA Division III football! Bring the whole family to POMOCO Stadium and cheer the CNU Captains on to victory as they host Wesleyan University. Enjoy the incredibly talented Marching Captains, the Silver Storm dance team and our nationally ranked cheerleaders as they provide the spirit and inspiration! When is the registration deadline?
The registration deadline is October 19th, but it is best to register early. Events and special meals fill quickly.
Can I register over the phone?
We are not able to take registrations over the phone.
What does the registration fee cover?
The fee covers your all general admission events, costs associated with online registration and the event operation such as publications, maps, schedules, postage, and special event staffing.
When will I get the confirmation of my registration?
As soon as you complete the online registration process, you will be prompted to print your confirmation.
We registered for Family Weekend, but now we can not attend. Can I get a refund?
Refunds will not be issued for this event.
When can I pick up my Family Weekend Packet?
Packets will be available for pick up between 12 noon on Friday, October 21 in Trible Library Rotunda. Your student may pick up your packet for you as long as he/she has a valid student ID. Packets are also available on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Trible Library Rotunda.
Will the packet contain my football and other event tickets?
No. If you purchased football tickets you were given the option of printing your tickets at home or picking them up at "Will Call." If you purchased tickets for a concert or theater performance, your tickets will be available for pick up at the Ferguson Center Ticket Office. Your student may pick up these tickets for you as long as he/she has a valid student ID. Any other "paid" events will check your attendance at the door.
In what section will we be sitting during the Family Weekend football game?
Tickets are general admission bleacher section or north end zone. If you prefer a chair back seat or a seat in the reserved bleachers, you may call the Freeman Center box office directly at (757) 594-7880.
Can I purchase just football tickets and not attend any other Family Weekend events?
Yes, you can, but you must contact the Freeman Center box office directly at (757) 594- 7880.
Where can we park during Family Weekend?
Parking is open during this weekend, but we can not guarantee parking spaces on main campus.
Where can we stay when in the area? Which hotels are closest?
Check our list of area hotels. Each listing indicates the distance to campus. Many of the hotels sell out quickly, so we encourage you to make your reservations early.
When should we plan to arrive? Do families stay the entire weekend?
While events do start on Friday, the majority of the activities occurring on Saturday. We encourage you to come on Friday to enjoy all the events we have to offer, but how long you stay is up to you.
What happens if it rains?
The show must go on! Those events scheduled in outdoor locations will most likely have alternate locations. The football game takes place rain or shine in POMOCO Stadium.

What is the attire for the Family Weekend events?
Casual attire is appropriate for all the festivities. We strongly encourage you to show your CNU pride by wearing blue and white, especially to the football game. CNU attire is available at the CNU Bookstore located in the David Student Union.
